Effective: March 10, 2026 Teen Revolution Parent-First Safety

At MyT (myteenspaces.com), we believe a "Teen Revolution" is only possible when it is built on a foundation of safety and trust. We have designed a comprehensive suite of top-tier safety features that empower parents to secure their teen's digital universe while allowing them the freedom to connect, learn, and grow.

Mandatory Age-Based Verification

We maintain a strict teen-only environment through rigorous identity checks:

  • Ages 13–15: To join the MyT community, members in this age bracket must have electronically signed permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • Verification for 13–15s: Parents are required to upload their own Government ID and a clear photo of their child to verify the account's legitimacy.
  • Ages 15–19: Older teens must independently verify their identity by uploading a Photo ID (e.g., State ID, School ID, Driver's Permit, or Passport).
Integrated Safety Features

These tools are built directly into the MyT app and must be activated by a parent on their teen's MyT profile:

  • New Friend Notifications: Whenever a teen matches with a new user or adds someone to their page, parents will receive an instant notification.
  • Daily Schedule Sync: Members can create a daily schedule on the MyT Calendar to manage their time. This calendar can be shared directly with parents to provide visibility into their day-to-day activities.
  • Smart Security Controls: Parents have the authority to toggle specific features on or off, ensuring that safety settings are customized to their family's needs.
Safe Connection Tools
  • Bully Protection: Our platform uses dedicated protection tools to keep the vibes high and the drama low.
  • Vetted Interactions: From FaceTime to the "New Friend Matching" feature, we use algorithms and monitoring to ensure interactions remain respectful and safe.
  • Privacy Defaults: All accounts for younger teens start with the highest privacy settings, allowing parents to review and adjust who can see their teen's content.
